I am a native Texan and second-generation wedding and portrait photographer.  My parents were both wedding photographers before I was born.  During my youth, my father always had a camera on him and I was constantly brought up around photography.  He opened his own studio in the early 90’s and I was often asked to assist him.  I attribute most of my education of this business to my father and those few years we worked together.

When my father passed away in 1996, I took over his business.  At the time, I was still employed as a computer network administrator but managed to run the business over the weekends.  After two years, I was photographing twice as many weddings my father normally booked.  In 2000, I left the consulting business and focused my efforts on running a full time professional wedding and portrait studio.

My memberships include the Professional Photographers Association of America, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, and the Texas Professional Photographers Association.  I continue my education through seminars and attending photographic events where fellow photographers are inspirational and eager to share their experiences.  Learning what other studios around the world are doing keeps me motivated and pushes me to strive harder to give my clients more than they expect.

With my skills as a computer technician, I’ve had plenty of time to learn and practice with digital technology.  All of my portraits and weddings are shot 100% digitally with Canon’s highest quality camera equipment.  Also, my lab is tailored especially for professional photographers whose business is centered on portrait and wedding photography.

Working with people is the most rewarding and fun part of my job.  I take the time to learn about my client’s needs and desires so I can customize my services just for them.  Wedding days are booked for the entire day so there is never an issue with ‘double booking’.  This way, I can dedicate 100% of my time to one client.  My albums tell the whole story, not just a few hours worth.
